Nang Len

Standard music bar that might be found in RCA. Plenty of low seating, this place draws a packed house every night. Get there by 10 or don't get in. Overflow crosses over to Escobar which shares the same entrance. Local bands and lots of young faces keeps this place alive but caters mostly to Thais. For a more welcoming farang experience head next door.

  • Tunage: live Thai talent playing mostly pop and rock
  • Dance Floor: no
  • Cocktails: minimal selection consisting of basics
  • Drinks: this is a bottle joint with Johnnie being right at home
  • Price: low
  • Location: Ekamai between Soi 5 and 7
  • Seating: standard low seating but energy gets people out of their chairs for some dancing making for a sardine experience of 100s in a venue that should hold half that
  • Ambiance: good spot for locals and worth a look for farang but likelihood is you won't come back
  • Pickup: probably but you'd have to withstand a few hours of smoke and sweat first
  • Overall: packed every night making for a smoky, sweaty mass of 20 year olds

Mike Sightings: I've been here once and was driven away by the crowd and smoke. Not my kind of place but I might have appreciated it 10 years ago.
