Cream (closed)

Opened in August 2007, Cream provides a sound alternative to Santika with a similar interior setup. Mix between DJ and live band draws a decent crowd. Additional room upstairs plays more electronic for those looking for something a little more off the beaten music path. Standard drink menu dominated by Mr Walker and his friends. Better seating arrangement with higher stools creates a nice mingling feel ideal for those who like to dance.

  • Tunage: Standard DJ with hip-hip and R&B mixed with local thai bands playing rock
  • Dance Floor: no
  • Cocktails: reasonable selection but mostly a whiskey bar
  • Drinks: Johnnies in the house
  • Price: moderate
  • Location: Ekamai between Sukhumvit and Soi 2
  • Seating: higher stool seating in the center with lower seating on peripherals hold 100s
  • Ambiance: loud but roomy and modern
  • Pickup: Quite likely but make sure you have a garbage pail beside the bed
  • Overall: assuming the place gets a crowd this place is a viable alternative to Santika

Mike Sightings: An alternative to Santika that doesn't offer anything unique. A nice place to go but not quite up to par with Santika or Escudo. I've been only once and never returned for my bottle.
