While many people will tell you the best solution for a hangover is to start drinkin' again, here's my liver lover's alternative for those with a real sponge head.
As soon as you wake up take:
- 2 multivitamins
- 2 paracetamol or equivalents
- 2 glasses of water to get them down yer pie hole
- 1 large bottle of 100% veggie and/or fruit juice (I drink V8)
4 hours after the first multivitamins take:
(or about an hour after Lindsay)
- 2 more multivitamins
- 2 more paracetamol or equivalents
- 2 more glasses of water
Some tricks
Normally I drink a large coffee at some point during the day. While you can add some food to this mix like pancakes, bacon and eggs, oatmeal or something else on the heavier side, if it's a real brain rocker you'll wanna lay off the food until the remedy sets in.
Another trick I use is to drink a glass of plain water between every drink. This is tough on the bladder but the extra trips to the bathroom give you more chances to meet someone special. It'll also seriously curb any hangover effects before they start and have your friends thinking you can drink like the Energizer Bunny.
The reason why you feel hungover is because the body has purged itself of vitamins and fluids. The only way to get over the hangover is to replace these with either supplements, juices, or anything filled with electrolytes like Gatorade.
